Salford City Academy (formerly Canon Williamson C.E. High School, and before that Eccles C.E. High School) is a state comprehensive high school and academy situated in the Peel Green area of Eccles, in the City of Salford, Greater Manchester, England. Salford City Academy (known locally as Salford Academy) opened in 2006 after substantial redevelopment. The school, sponsored by the United Learning Trust, currently holds training school status.

A brand new sixth form opened in September 2007, catering for 200 students. It was developed at a cost of £1.8 million.

School day variations

Unlike most schools in the United Kingdom, Salford Academy's school day does not end at the same time on each day of the week. School finishing times vary between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm, with a corresponding variable number of periods in each day.
